Aynsley Blue Tea Cup with Fruit

Here is an orphaned tea cup from my box of treasures from the antique mall.  This tea cup has such a neat shape!  If you peak inside, you will see some fruit!

I seem to have a knack for finding Aynsley tea cups without their saucers.  This is my third orphaned Aynsley tea cup.

This tea cup was produced some time between 1939 to the early 1950s.  While reading a bit about this company, I read that founder John Aynsley's son formed Paragon China and so it was the the founder's grandson who eventually took over the business.

While Aynsley remained independent, Paragon was taken over by Royal Albert in 1960.  Royal Albert was purchased by the Doulton group in 1972.  Wedgewood then purchased that company in 2005.

Aynsley-Paragon Mix Match - Pretty in Pink

Here is the final 25 cent tea cup I picked up.  It is not a matching pair, but it does match quite well if you ask me!  I especially love the simple, yet beautiful tea cup.

This tea cup was probably produced between 1905-1925 based on this back stamp.  After all those years, she's lost her saucer.

But she was matched with this beauty!  The saucer has the same shade of pink and its intricate design complements her simplicity.

 I'm not sure when this saucer was produced ... some time after 1963.

I found this lovely pink tea cup last year while garage sale-ing.

I love pink, so naturally, this one caught my eye.

I'll take you for a tour around the rim of this cup ...

... First you see the pretty floral decoration ...

... Then there are a few trees and a some birds in the air ... 

 ... What an interesting design!

Here is a picture of the back stamp on this tea cup; I think the number written there is B3024.  I checked the internet for some information.  One site stated that this back stamp was used between 1934-1950, and another site said that it was used in the 1920s and 1930s.

And here was the surprise I discovered once I brought this cup home:

The cup is not sitting on it's proper saucer!!  The pinks are so close, however, that I don't mind.
